Q. What is the Tech Trade Up Guarantee?

A. Guaranteed Highest Recovery: Through the Tech Trade Up process, devices are graded, data wiped, repaired if necessary, then refurbished and recertified for resale through the largest Retailers and VAR’s sold in the USA.

Q. What products are accepted?

A. Laptops, desktops, smartphones, tablets, Chromebooks, iPhones, iPads, and more are accepted for trade in. We cannot guarantee that all models will yield value based on age and condition.

Q. Can I trade in my units that do not work?

A. We will accept non-functioning units for recycling at a fixed rate. Assets deemed recycle-only are subject to a $0.30 per pound plus shipping fee that will be reduced from payment or billed directly for any balance due.

Q. Can I trade in units if they have scratches and dents?

A. Yes. We accept scratched and dented units, though their condition will affect the value of the trade-in.

Q. Do I need to include chargers with my assets?

A. No, chargers are not required, but including a charger will increase the value of the trade-in. If devices are received without necessary components such as, but not limited to, AC adaptors and/or Batteries, PlanITROI will have the right to deduct the cost of that component from the price at market value. PlanITROI will not consider later shipments for fulfillment of required components and reserves the right to adjust pricing without consideration of future receipts.

Q. What if I do not know what assets I have?

A. We will produce an estimated quote based on the best idea of what you want to trade in. We can also produce a modified buyout price after an audit or onsite assessment and evaluation of your inventory. Final prices are based on PlanITROI’s receipt date and final audit grade. If the devices received are different than the stated devices in the quote PlanITROI reserves the right to adjust pricing in accordance with market values.

Q. Is there a minimum quantity of devices required?

A. PlanITROI accommodates both small and large quantities of devices. There’s no strict minimum, making it a flexible program for organizations.

Q. Do I need proof of purchase before sending in my technology?

A. No, proof of purchase is not required when participating in this trade-in program. Your organization represents that all devices transferred to PlanITROI, or its subcontractors, shall be free and clear of all liens, claims, options, charges, restrictions, or encumbrances whatsoever, and that transfers good and marketable title to all transferred devices to PlanITROI at time of pickup or delivery.
