PlanITROI is committed to environmental sustainability through product ReUse first as intended use as a refurbished product sold or donated to the next user, if the product is non economical to refurbish, then PlanITROI is committed to parts harvesting components for ReUse in refurbished products, then any leftover components of the product will be processed into compounds (metals, glass, plastics) for use in new OEM products.

  • R2v3 Certified: PlanITROI is R2v3 Certified and committed to protecting the environment, the health and safety of our workers and communities, and positively impacting the movement toward a sustainable circular economy while enriching the lives of people all around the world.
  • WEEE Certified - European Union equivalent to R2v3 Certification: Initially issued in 2003, the EU Directive 2002/96/EC, Waste Electrical and Electronic Equipment (WEEE) reduces electrical and electronic waste and encourages the recovery, reuse, and recycling of electrical and electronic products. The Directive was updated in 2012 as the WEEE Directive 2012/19/EU.
  • ISO 14001 Certified – Environmental Management: PlanITROI is ISO 14001 certified and is committed to the international standards that set out the requirements for an environmental management system. It helps PlanITROI make continuous improvements to our environmental performance through more efficient use of resources and waste reduction, gaining a competitive advantage and the trust of stakeholders, clients, customers, and workers.
  • ISO 9001 Certified – Quality Management: PlanITROI is certified and committed to being a core Refurbisher of computing and mobile products and has standardized its ISO 9001 documentation on the highest quality “OEM Recertified” refurbishment process. This process leads to the highest possible resale directly to the next user as reusable computing devices. Officially, ISO 9001 sets out the criteria for a quality management system that helps increase efficiency, productivity, profit, reduces waste and helps create consistent outcomes.
  • ISO 45001 Certified – Occupational Health and Safety: PlanITROI is committed to a safe and healthy workplace. PlanITROI’s number one concern is the physical and mental health of our workers. ISO 45001 sets the minimum standard of practice to protect employees worldwide and PlanITROI exceeds this standard.
  • Zero Landfill: Since PlanITROI’s inception in 2001, PlanITROI has been committed to a Zero Waste policy with principles focused on waste prevention that encourages the redesign of resource life cycles to reuse all products. The goal is to send no trash to landfills or the ocean.
  • Zero Incineration: Since PlanITROI’s inception in 2001, PlanITROI has been committed to a Zero Incineration policy focused on preventing the burning of waste. The goal is for no recyclables to be sent to an incinerator in order to keep carbon emissions to a minimum.
  • Zero Export: Since PlanITROI’s inception in 2001, PlanITROI has been committed to a Zero Export policy for non-reusable assets. A commitment that environmental sustainability is a global effort. The goal is to maximize reuse and recycling within the United States.
